Dear Laurie,
I want you to know how very much my siblings and I appreciated all of your hard work and guidance during the preparation of mom’s house for sale. You made us feel comfortable right away by asking us what we wanted to do and discussing options. That made us feel that even though you were the expert, we were still in charge.
We had a very short, 6 week window of time to prepare the house before we would get into the holiday season. This was not a good year for real estate and the market would only deteriorate as the months went by. In that short time frame you and our realtor were able to guide us through what needed to be done to get the house ready.
You and the realtor immediately decided what features of the house were to be promoted and how to stage. It was incredible how the two of you worked together, room by room to decide what existing furnishings stayed, what went and what you would bring in. The end result was amazing! The house never looked better and the only time ever in its 50 year history that everything was coordinated; not stuffy but comfortable and livable.
We worked like demons during that 6 weeks to get everything ready for staging. One of the most difficult parts for me was the division of the house contents between four adult children. When you told us just to put things together with a name on each batch of items and that you would pack and label everything, that was a gift to us. You also wisely told us that there was no time for a yard sale, just to take everything to a local charity which is what we did.
Your practical approach to detail and calm manner enabled us to complete the task to ready the house for you and the realtor to begin staging. Your experience with what needed to be done and what was necessary to do to have the house presentable to sell was much appreciated. By the time everything was done and on time, the house never looked better. We were all very proud of what had been accomplished. We would never have been able to accomplish such a beautiful job in having the house ready without you and your crew.
We got wonderful comments from realtors; they all wanted to know who had done the staging. And it all paid off since we had 2 full price offers the very first week and we did close with the first offer.
Bravo! Now will you come and help me in organizing my own home?
Kindest Regards,
Sue Pisias and family

Hi Laurie,
We wanted to let you know how thankful we are for the fantastic job you and your crew did in the cleaning and staging of our home that we recently sold. There is no doubt in our minds that your keen eye for color and space (some walls were painted, one carpet replaced, and curtains and wallpaper removed) helped the buyers see the home and it’s infinite possibilities as their new abode.
We admit, it was hard to move past some of the memories we had in our home of 13 years, since we raised our children in that neighborhood. Yet, we had to force the emotions to step aside. Laurie, you graciously took the time to help us ‘neutralize’ our colors, while we dealt with our impending out-of-state move.
We had arranged through our realtor to allow several contractors into our home prior to marketing it. Laurie’s team was scheduled for cleaning (she even does windows!), when the typical ’snag’ occurred. Our savior turned out to be Laurie, who took matters in control and directed the contractors, put up a blind they left down and more. In fact, Laurie even stopped in to vacuum and changed light bulbs periodically; it was as though we had been there ourselves. Thank you, Laurie! It was hard leaving our home behind, but knowing that you were there watching over it and making sure that it was properly presented was a blessing! It relieved us of a great deal of undue stress.
We are now in the process of looking for a home in the Southwest and know that your services are greatly needed down here! We have walked into homes and actually walked out due to the glaring colors combinations for the walls and floors. There have also been a few that we have visited and felt as though they were ’small’, only due to the fact that there was too much furniture in the home. The funny thing is that most of those homes were close to over 1000 square feet bigger than our Oregon home! This will be our 5th home purchase and we know we do not want a ’project’ home. First impressions are very important and Laurie, you helped us capture them well with our home.
Our home was marketed at the end of the month (summer 2009 ), had several legitimate offers, was sold and closed after 2-1/2 months. We couldn’t have asked for an easier transition while residing out-of-state! Laurie, I would consider this job a complete success, especially in today’s market! Keep up the good work!
Sincerely,
Roger and Heidi Smith

I have not written a letter of recommendation in all my 43 years! That is until NOW. I want to let you know that if you need help with organizing clutter, help with any transition with moving or selling a home Laurie Vail at Anything Organized is a God send!!
What exactly did Anything Organized do? Well here is a PARTIAL list of what she did for me:
1. Laurie from Anything Organized encouraged me in a patient and compassionate way when I was feeling completely overwhelmed with what to let go of and what to keep
2. Laurie and her employees (who were also very understanding, patient and efficient) helped me prioritize what I needed to keep and what I needed to let go of
3. After I decided what to let go of and what to keep, Anything Organized carefully packaged and boxed everything I was taking over seas. They even included an itemized list on every box so there would be no hassles with customs (which there was not!)
4. Organized and independently held an estate sale where she sold everything that could make some money and make others happy
5. When fair prices were not offered at the estate sale she marketed my belonging in other ways to ensure that my belongings sold at a price I was comfortable with
6. She had my house thoroughly cleaned and staged my home to put in on the market to sell (my home sold in 30 days it was on the market for a price above what I was initially asking for…and it was on the market from January- February which is a slow time for moving real estate!)
I was completely overwhelmed when it came to the task of transitioning to over seas. I had years and years of accumulated stuff, stuffed in my garage, in cupboards, and closets. I tend to be sentimental over my things and it was VERY difficult to sort out what to keep and what to let go of…and then the dooming question of what to do with the stuff I let go of? I was paralyzed until Laurie Vail from Anything Organized came into my life.
She was thoughtful in her decisions and yet she moved quickly. She was fair, trustworthy, efficient and extremely well organized. She even put the money I made into my bank account as this was difficult for me to do overseas.
When it came time to leave the country (I had a dead line as planes don’t wait!) I took great refuge in knowing all my belongings were in good hands. I trust her completely. She even put the money I made into my bank account, which was very difficult for me to do overseas. The bottom line is that Laurie from Anything Organized helped me transition from a life of being buried in clutter to a life being free, happy and content. Thank you Laurie! I am forever grateful!
